Visa is required for most nationalities with passport
with at least six month validity. ASEAN
nationals do not require tourist visa.
on arrival is not permitted for the following passports:
Afghanistan; Algeria; Bangladesh; Iran; Iraq; Pakistan;
Saudi Arabia; Sri Lanka; and Sudan. Holders of these
passports must obtain a Cambodian visa before arriving
in the country. Holders of these passports are also
required to hold a sponsor letter or invitation from a
company / organization / travel agent, and you are also
advised to hold a valid return ticket.
One-month tourist visas are available on
arrival at the airports in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh and
border crossings with Thailand, Lao and Vietnam.
Tourist visa: US$ 30. Business visa: US$ 35.
1US$ = 4000 Riel: USD are commonly use;
Cambodia Riel and Thai baht is acceptable.
Most hotels, restaurants and shops quote prices in
dollars small change in riel.

SHOPPING & SOUVENIR (Some)
HERE, several type of souvenir shops and markets. Most
of the crafts, silks and silver are hand-made. Temple
rubbings, stone and woodcarvings, silver wears, gems,
musical instrument, silks and scarf are the most popular
souvenir. Illegal to buy antiquities. Some replicas of
authentic artifacts must be accompanied by a
Old Market/ Night Market - the biggest variety of souvenirs and
interesting local ambiance. The boutiques and
specialty shops offer higher quality selection of
ranging through everyday trinkets, hidden treasures and
souvenirs. (Center of the Town).
Phsar Leu Thom Thmey - is market mainly to locals. Opens
and closes with the sun. Shops are offering souvenirs,
clothes, perfumes, jewelers, fresh fruit and
vegetables. (Road No. 6)
Souvenirs Shops and Others - have nice selected items
and a bit more pricy than market. Such as shops. Phnom Pich, ACC, CTM, Angkor Art, Les Artisans D’Angkor,
Angkor Shopping Center etc.

Happy Paintings Gallery - featuring the paintings of Stéphane Delaprée (Stef), a singular artist with a
gentle insight into everyday Cambodia.
X-Face Gallery - featuring the paintings, sculptures
and other creations of the noted contemporary Cambodian
Monument Books - at the old market area, bookshop in the airport, and
souvenir stalls at the Old Market are the primary
outlets for new books.
The Old Market and Siem Reap Book Shop- sell 'new' books, but they are much
cheaper, bootlegged versions.
Lazy Mango & Le Tigre de Papier - at pub street; is used book and used CDs
shop in Siem Reap (buy, sell or trade)
Convenience Stores - offer canned goods, pretty good
selection of imported/European goods, including ice
cream, snacks, wines, candy, etc. Angkor Mart, Asia
Mart, Max Mart and Thai Hout Mart are the good place to
buy. Also Old Market have not well decorate convenience
store at cheaper rate.
